SURA 30
Ar-Rum (Los Bizantinos)

ESTE SURA, revelado unos seis o siete años antes de la hégira, toma su título de la referencia profética a los bizantinos en sus versículos iniciales. (Acerca del contexto histórico de esta profecía, véanse las notas 2 y 3 de este capítulo) Después de esta predicción inequívoca de acontecimientos que en el momento de su revelación se hallaban aún envueltos en las brumas del futuro, el sura pasa inmediatamente a formular su tema central: la maravilla de la creación de Dios manifestada en todo cuanto existe, Su continuo «suscitar lo vivo de lo que está muerto», y por consiguiente Su capacidad, y promesa, de resucitar a los muertos al final de los tiempos. Pero esto, afirma el Qur’án, es algo de lo que la mayoría de la gente «nada quiere saber» (versículo 56), porque «conocen sólo la superficie externa de esta vida, mientras que viven ajenos por completo a la Otra Vida» (versículo 7); y a causa del olvido de esa realidad última, «ha aparecido la corrupción en la tierra y en el mar como consecuencia de lo que ha hecho la mano del hombre» (versículo 41): una predicción absolutamente certera de lo que está ocurriendo hoy en el mundo.

Currently, I’m developing a sacred method of natal chart interpretation based on the 28 lunar mansions and the Divine Names of God, inspired by the teachings of Sufi master Ibn Arabi. I’m also writing a book on the 99 Names of Allah as living aspects of the soul’s essence and pathways for inner integration.
