Período de Mecca
TODAS LAS AUTORIDADES coinciden en que este sura pertenece al período de Mecca; pero mientras que algunos (por ejemplo, Suyuti) lo sitúan cronológicamente hacia el final de ese período, existen pruebas históricas incuestionables de que no fue revelado con posterioridad al año sexto de la misión del Profeta, y quizá su revelación se produjera en el año quinto, es decir, siete u ocho años antes de su hégira a Medina. Los Compañeros que por aquel tiempo tomaron parte en la segunda emigración de musulmanes de Mecca a Abisinia estaban ya familiarizados con este sura: así, por ejemplo, se sabe que Yaafar ibn Abi Talib –primo del Profeta y jefe del primer grupo de emigrantes– lo recitó delante del Negus (e.d., rey) de Abisinia a fin de clarificar la posición del Islam respecto a Jesús (Ibn Hisham). El título por el que comúnmente se conoce este sura está basado en la historia de María y Jesús, que ocupa (junto con la historia de Zacarías y su hijo Juan, el precursor de Jesús) casi un tercio del sura y es evocada de nuevo hacia el final, en los versículos 88-91.

In 2014, I founded islamenespanol.co to share the essence of Islam beyond rigid interpretations. After a decade of transformation, I launched thecircleofhanik.com—a space dedicated to universal spiritual guidance, beyond the boundaries of any single tradition.
Currently, I’m developing a sacred method of natal chart interpretation based on the 28 lunar mansions and the Divine Names of God, inspired by the teachings of Sufi master Ibn Arabi. I’m also writing a book on the 99 Names of Allah as living aspects of the soul’s essence and pathways for inner integration.
